A project inspired by Tite Curet Alonso’s song: Las Caras Lindas (English: beautiful faces), this artistic collection presents black women as saints. The hair and headdress of each allude to the halos of saints or religious figures. The golden backgrounds were inspired by the Byzantine period, where gold was used as a symbol of perfection and divine purity.
