Beautés Noires
Inspired by Tite Curet Alonso’s song Las Caras Lindas, this collection is a tribute to the beauty, strength, and spirit of Black women. Each figure is portrayed as a saint—radiant, powerful, and worthy of reverence.
Their hair and headdresses rise like sacred halos, honoring both identity and ancestry, transforming everyday beauty into something divine. The luminous gold backgrounds, inspired by the Byzantine tradition, evoke a sense of purity, dignity, and timeless grace.
Through these works, I seek to elevate, celebrate, and honor the sacred essence within every Black woman—their beauty not only seen, but deeply felt.
