Bomba in Tanca’s Alley

This collection is part of a larger body of work that includes projects such as Libéré par le rythme, all rooted in the exploration of Puerto Rico’s cultural identity.

I delve into the language of Bomba—the gestures, the rhythm, and the dialogue between dancer and drum. Each movement carries meaning, echoing generations of history, resistance, and celebration across Puerto Rico and the Antilles.

More than a study, this work is a living document—an effort to capture the spirit and symbolism of Bomba as it continues to breathe, evolve, and resonate within contemporary spaces.
